I think it’s about time we came off hiatus and I thought I’d start things off with a loot post of all the figures we have purchased over the last few months! Hopefully we’ll start getting around to doing some reviews of these pretty plastic lovelies soon.
First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for their well wishes, concern and kind words in Luth’s previous post. I’m still not well and poor Luth is extremely busy with work (and looking after me, haha) so posting may not be as regular as what it was previously.
Alrighty! The loot shot itself is a little tiny so click on it for a larger image if you have eyesight like mine.
Starting from the back, we have the pink haired pirate chick Captain Liliana from MegaHouse’s Queen’s Blade Rebellion line. We preordered her awhile ago from AmiAmi for 6230 yen which I think is a great price considering all the extra display options she comes with. We’d both been interested in her since seeing her unpainted prototype way back when and we are both happy with how she turned out!
Next to Liliana in the back row is the absolutely adorable Hatsune Miku Lat ver. by Good Smile Company. Since her arrival, the sheer cuteness of her has made her a mainstay on my desk and she’d probably have to be one of my favourite figures at the moment. She only cost us 4080 yen from AmiAmi and I couldn’t be any happier with her!
The girl at the back next to Miku with the pink hair is a figure I’d been wanting since it went up for preorder but it’s one that I never managed to get my hands on. She’s called Buddy, she’s from an eroge called Kimi ga Yobu, Megiddo no Oka de (Voices From Har Megiddo) and she’s manufactured by Alter. I was lucky enough to find her under retail for 6800 yen at the Akihabara Mandarake while I was over in Japan and I’m so glad to finally have my hands on her.
Last on in the back row is the giant white haired chick who some of you might recognize as Togame from Katanagatari. She’s a bit of an unusual purchase for me as I don’t find her figure all that attractive.. I just really like her as a character. She’s a Banpresto Ichiban Kuji prize figure and I paid roughly 3000 yen for her. Found her.. somewhere in Akihabara, haha. The figure has issues but overall it’s not bad for the price.
Moving down the to front row starting from the far left, we have Azusa from K-On! who is also an Ichiban Kuji prize figure. She cost quite a bit more than Togame at around 5000 yen but I thought she was too cute to resist! I got her in Akihabara as well.
Next to Azusa is the Figma version of Kousaka Kirino from Oreimo. Luth hates this one as he’s not exactly a Kirino fan but I wanted her to go with the Kuroneko Figma.. which I haven’t got around to getting yet! She was given to me as a gift from the great guys at Tamarket during a hospital stay and I had her perched on my bedside table for most of my stay.. I think the nurses found her quite curious, haha.
The Snow Miku Nendoroid next to Kirino is something we’d be waiting on to arrive for awhile and she arrived while I was overseas, of course! We ordered her through YesAsia and paid around $80 AUD (inc. shipping). She was worth it.. she’s a cutie!
Crouching down next to Snow Miku is the Hachikuji Mayoi Figma. When I saw photos of her in that pose, I couldn’t resist and ordered her as soon preorders opened on AmiAmi! She cost about 2360 yen. I have so many photo ideas for her but they’ll have to wait until I get a little better, hehe.
Next to Mayoi is our very first resin figure! She’s Touwa Erio from Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko and I purchased the figure from Summer Wonder Festival 2011. I can’t recall the exact amount but I think it was around 7000 yen or so. Erio was made by CM’s Corporation and she’s our first figure by them.
Last up we have the Hatsune Miku Appened ver. Figma! We actually purchased two of these (Luth wants to customise one) but there was enough in the photo as it was without squeezing in another Figma. I’ll be writing up a review of her soon enough so look out for that if you’d like more information on her!
There are other bits and pieces of games and other Japanese pop culture goodies that we have purchased but I’ll cover those in a seperate post. In other not really related news, we have moved to a new apartment and are in the process of setting up our figure display so maybe we’ll do a post on that sometime if anyone is interested.

A lot of figures have accumulated over these few months at your side, I also have ordered two figures which were in your Loot. This Hachikuji figma is quite adorable and so tiny ^^
Ah, Captain Liliana is damn hot, unfortunately I didn’t order her in the end, well I think she would have been too distracting for me on my desk anyway. I guess I would have displayed her with “kyahh” face and just the starfish cover XD

Cool that you’ve bought Erio at the Wonfes, was it like “hey Mr salesman give me your figure”?

Hehe, I didn’t catch anything.. I have some stupid autoimmune diseases going on and they decided to make themselves known while I was overseas. It would have happened anyway but I wish my body would have waited until I got home! At least I got a few days of shopping in, hehe.
Miku and Mayoi are the ones you have, right? They’re both so cute, can’t wait to attack them with a camera!

The starfish are such a novelty to me. I keep wanting to stick them onto everything, haha.
Yeah, she’s all heavy metal or punkish or something. She doesn’t look too fancy in the loot shot but she looks great on display.
I can’t speak Japanese so when I bought Erio I probably just waved some yen at the salesman and pointed at her!
We just use Ikea Detolfs for our display but I’ll take some photos of our office room when it’s all set up nicely.

Yeah somehow I guess, well I have other sexy figures, but for some reason Liliana makes me some kind of dizzy. Haha, I see don’t loose them.
I actually like her look a lot and these twintails are awesome.
Ah ok then it was easier than I expected, I would have waved with yen in front of the colored prototypes haha, but I guess they won’t sell them, unfortunately.

Yeah, all I did was wave yen everywhere and smile a lot at the salesmen. Most of the time I didn’t even try to speak any Japanese because I was self conscious about my accent. xD
I concur about Lat Miku, cutest scaled Miku figure ever. When I get home and finally unbox she will probably become a mainstay in my displayed collection.
Kirino figma is fun, I love mine she and Kuroneko are really fun to pose and take pictures of. While I did not buy the Mayoi figma for myself I look forward to taking pictures of her, she is quite cute.
A resin figure, never gotten one of those, I want a nice scaled Erio figure but so far the ones I seen are not tickling my fancy.

Yeah, so glad I held out of all those other GSC scaled Miku figures.. I think Lat is all I need. She’s a bit on the small side but I think that just adds to her cuteness.
I really need to get that Kuroneko for my Kirino. I just hope she’s not sold out by the time I get around to it.
The resin Erio is cute but the face looks a bit weird from certain angles. I’d definitely pick up another Erio figure if I found one that tickled my fancy too.
Hehe, our display is nothing great. Luth rigged up some LED lights for it at our old apartment but they haven’t been set up yet.

Hehe, yeah.. it looks like some kind of death metal getup or something. They had all the main girls in outfits like that but I liked Azusa a little more than the others.. even though I don’t like K-On.. ah, whatever! Now that I think back, I’m not sure why exactly I wanted it so much, haha.

Pink haired pirate chick catches my eye. She’s quite sexy and I think she would make an interesting photo subject. I’m not sure I’m ready for such a risque figure though haha.
Haha, poor Kirino gets doesn’t get enough love, even if she is a bitch and all. The figma is really darn photogenic though. Her expressions are very versatile.
I orderd Mayoi aswell. She looks way too cute and playful. I have a bunch of ideas for her as well!

I would have grabbed more if I had the chance! I still wish I had of picked up some of these cute little 1/12 scale Figma/Busou Shinki outfits that I saw.. good god, they were adorable.
Liliana’s not too bad if you keep all her bit and pieces on but not everyone is comfortable with owning something like a Queen’s Blade figure, hehe.
I love the folded arms Kirino comes with! I haven’t had a chance to play around with her much yet but I definitely want to review her or at least takes some shots of her some time in the future.

Nice loots! I was just saying on another blog the other night that I need to get that Lat-type Miku. I have an army of Vocaloids though, so she’d just be the loli-type of my collection, haha. She’s so adorable, wish I could’ve pre-ordered her, but the month was already full. <3
Captain Liliana looks wonderful. I'm not a fan of Queen's Blade but I think I may have to pick her up, that figure… there's just something about it that's irresistible! I also really need to pick up one of those Snow Mikus from Mandarake at some point…
Either way, while you've been away on hiatus I've been looking through your site. I can't wait to see more reviews from you, you do such a wonderful job. =3

Yeah, that’s one thing I wish they’d work on… different Vocaloid characters! I really, really really want one or two of Gumi, she’s my favorite but the only merch she has is ONE shirt. It’s sad! Even some of the Utau’s have petits, but all the regular ones don’t even have one figure! =(

Yeah, I feel the same way. I have a lot of friends that don’t post on my blog that bug me about it, so I feel like as long as I know people enjoy it, I’ll keep doing them. =3

A Gumi figure would be amazing! She’s such a little cutie, I adore her design! I love the Crypton Vocaloids and all but I wish more of them would get a little bit of love from a major company.

That Erio garage kit looks awesome. Buddy and Togame look really good too>< I wasn't really a fan of the Katanagatari series but maybe I'll give it another shot.
Captain Liliana looks great, although the promo pics made me think that the job done on her was blotchy.

Oo she’s not a garage kit, I don’t have the skill to put one of those together. She’s just a prepainted figure made from resin. Katanagatari was brilliant, one of our favs! Not a good show if you don’t like a lot of dialogue though, lol.

I’m interested to see how Erio’s photos will turn out, she looks fantastic from the angle you’re supposed to view her from but she’s got a bit of a weird face at other angles. On the other hand, Buddy looks great from all sides.

I’ve got 2 figures from the ones you’ve shown here – Captain Liliana and one that I still need to review (I’ve had her for ages but keep pushing her back). It’ll be interesting to see what you think of both and how you choose to shoot them.
Azusa in her punk rock outfit looks neat. Those huge twintails are awesome and all that black clothing looks badass.
The cold cast Erio could be interesting, depends how she looks close up though. There’s quite a few Erio figures coming out and they all seem to be in the same pose / facing the same direction so I wonder how CM Corps’ compares.

Luth is still working on his Liliana review but he’s pretty busy at the moment so he’ll probably take awhile to get it done, lol. Interested in seeing what the other figure is that you’ll be reviewing, will be keeping an eye out for that.
She is pretty awesome, she gets dusty so fast though since she’s all black so she’s off my desk and behind the glass display.
I think the Alpha Max Erio that went up for preorder not that long ago looks a bit better than the one I got but I’m not unhappy with her. She’s so damn fragile though, I’ve already broken her ribbon trying to put it in.. thankfully she comes with a spare!

Liliana’s nice, but at certain angles her neck looks really really long!
Sometimes I do wonder if Megahouse did not make them castoff-able, would the sculpts look even better? One thing’s for sure – it will definitely spare us the pain of removing the plastic wrapper bits that they come shipped in!

I never noticed Liliana’s neck, I’ll have to take a closer look! We usually display her with the ruffles on her neck so it might hide it from view a bit.
I’ve wondered that too and I think they would! I only have one non cast-off MegaHouse figure but his sculpt is fantastic.
And yes, that damn plastic! Almost as bad as Figma plastic. D:

Drrr missed the Erio and Liliana, heard the craftsmanship was awesome and the captain was cast-offable. I’ve never been a huge Miku fan (more of a Luka fan here) but i have to say that the lat-type is extremely cute!

I only got Erio ’cause I was lucky enough to go to Wonder Festival, I wouldn’t have got her otherwise. I’m a bit too cheap to pay proxy fees, lol.
Liliana is mostly certainly cast-offable, she looks great in various stages of being cast-off too.
Ah, you are like Luth! He’s much more into Luka than Miku. I think he’d cry tears of joy if a scaled Luka figure was ever released!
I’d send GSC or Alter songs of love if they ever decide to create a quality Luka figure
